§ Mr. ALDENasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether it was the intention of His Majesty's Government to take any action in the matter of a petition to the Colonial Secretary from the self-governing dominions which was presented last November, and which prayed that Great Britain might cease to offer a premium for violation of the bird laws of her overseas possessions by furnishing a market for plumage illicitly exported.
Mr. HARCOURTThe question whether any and, if so, what action should be taken for the restriction of the trade in plumage is under consideration.
