§ Mr. FIELDasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the fact that certain changes are shortly to be effected in the staff of the Government Laboratory, he can assure the assistant clerks employed in that office that their petition, which was forwarded to the Board of Customs and Excise on 22nd September, 1909, is being considered; and whether a reply to it may be expected before 1st April, 1911?
