§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe 2,271 alien prisoners represent rather less than 1 per cent. of the total number of prisoners. The number of convicted aliens in prison on 31st December last was 370. I am unable at the present moment to give the nationalities asked for. Complete information on this and other points relating to the expulsion of aliens will be published as soon as possible. The work of compilation is not yet complete.
