Mr. TYSON WILSONasked the Postmaster-General whether he can see his way to alter the regulation re the withdrawal of sums over £1 from the Post Office Savings Bank, as at present it is a hardship on persons of small means, as they have to wait four days after giving notice before they can draw their money?
§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELThe system of telegraphic withdrawal is available for cases of urgency which are not met by the facility for withdrawing sums up to £1 on demand. The system of withdrawal on demand is open to abuse, and it is not considered desirable to extend its scope.
