HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 c1413W
Mr. GRETTON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if the Board of Admiralty has any regular or recognised advice upon delicate or intricate questions of Maritime and International Law affecting the Navy and Naval questions except that obtainable from the Law Officers of the Crown?

Mr. McKENNA

Apart from the assistance of experienced officers of the Admiralty, the Board have the advantage of the advice of the Treasury Solicitor and King's Proctor on questions of Maritime and International Law. Assistance is also rendered by the Foreign Office.
