asked what was the number of rifles passing through Muscat in the years 1909 and 1910, and what was the quantity of ammunition?

According to information supplied by the Muscat Customs 85,820 rifles and 12,420,000 rounds of ammunition were imported into Muscat during the year 1908–09. For the year 1909–10 the quantities of imported arms and ammunition are not stated, but the total value of these imports was returned at £103,862, as against £237,644 in the previous year.
