asked how many valuers have been appointed to carry out the valuation of land under the Finance (1909–10) Act, 1910; what is the aggregate amount of their annual salaries; and how many of these appointments are of a temporary and how many of a permanent character?

Including sixty-one valuers appointed for Estate Duty work prior to the passing of the Finance (1909–10) Act, 1910, the number of valuers appointed to date is 769, at annual salaries amounting in the aggregate to £202,382 per annum. Of this number 169 are already on the permanent staff.
