asked the Chief Secretary if he can state the number of applications to fix fair rents, lodged up to date, by future tenants under the "Future tenant" clause of The Irish Land Act, 1909, the number of such applications actually disposed of; the number of cases disposed of in which fair rents were fixed; and the number dismissed?

Three hundred and fifty-seven applications to have fair rents fixed have been made to the Land Commission under Section 65 of the Irish Land Act, 1909 (Future Tenants), up to the 8th instant Judicial rents have been fixed in 206 of these cases, fifty-eight having been either dismissed, struck out. or withdrawn. The remaining cases are still pending.
