asked the President of the Board of Agriculture whether he can arrange to ask for the area of sugar beet grown in Great Britain when he sends out his requests to farmers for returns of the crops on their holdings?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

It has been the practice of the Board for many years to ask farmers to return the acreage of their holdings under sugar beet. The results have been shown in the reports on the Agricultural Statistics. The figures for the year 1910 will be found on page 17 of the report for that year [Cd. 5585].
