§ Mr. LYNCHasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether his attention has been called to the following circumstances regarding Michael Kelly, of Lissycasey, West Clare: Michael Kelly's grandfather built a house on the estate of his landlord; Kelly's father lived in half of the house for many years and let the other half for police barracks, then subsequently let the whole house for police barracks and built another house in which Kelly now lives; the landlord gave Kelly's father notice to quit and himself undertook the housing of the police, building some new dwellings; and in 1883 the house in question was condemned by the police authorities, and Kelly regained possession of it in the year 1886 and held possession until he was evicted prior to the sale of the estate; and whether, in view of these facts, facilities may be given to Michael Kelly to secure equitable conditions in regard to the purchase of his holding?
