§ Mr. STANIERasked the President of the Board of Agriculture whether the animals which die in India of foot-and-mouth disease, or are slaughtered by order, are cremated by the authorities; and if this is also done in Egypt?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI understand that in neither of the countries named do the authorities slaughter out animals affected with foot-and-mouth disease. I have no information as to the disposal, in those countries, of the carcases of animals which die of the disease; but I will make inquiries.
