HC Deb 14 December 1911 vol 32 cc2677-8W
Mr. JAMES HOPE

asked the Chancellor whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction prevailing in the Excise service owing to the recommendations of the Hobhouse Committee and the manner in which they have been officially interpreted; and whether he is willing to grant a further interview before Christmas to representatives of the officers of the service?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I cannot grant another interview before Christmas, but I have informed the Excise Federation that I will endeavour to do so at the end of January or early in February.
