§ Mr. BIRRELL1,146 evicted tenants in Munster or representatives of evicted tenants have been reinstated or provided with new holdings, and 161 applications from persons seeking reinstatement as evicted tenants in the same province have been provisionally noted for consideration in the allotment of untenanted land acquired by the Estates Commissioners. The Commissioners have not promised allotments to any of the persons whose applications for reinstatement have been refused, and they do not propose to reconsider any of the cases in which after inquiry and consideration they have already decided to take no action.
