HC Deb 04 December 1911 vol 32 c1176W
Mr. O'DONNELL

asked whether the Congested Districts Board for Ireland have received from the fishermen of Bally-ferriter a resolution requesting the extension and improvement of the pier at present in existence at Smerwick; whether this small pier is used by forty canoes with three men in each, and is wholly inadequate; and whether steps will be taken to have the necessary improvements carried out as soon as possible?

Mr. BIRRELL

If the hon. Member refers to the Smerwick Pier built jointly by the county council and the Congested Districts Board in 1908, the Board have not received any representations in the matter.
