§ Mr. BARNESasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many of the 597 un-established men clerks to surveyors of taxes at present serving will, it is anticipated, be promoted during the next ten years to the established list of clerks, which is at present restricted to 230.
Mr. McKINNON WOODAssuming that the establishment of clerks remains as at present, it is anticipated that during the next ten years from sixty to seventy un-established men clerks will be promoted.
