asked the Secretary for the Home Department whether the Lord Chancellor has now appointed the Advisory Committee for London for the purpose of appointments to the Commission of the Peace; and, if so, whether he can give the names of the gentlemen appointed?

I am informed by the Lord Chancellor that the Central Advisory Committee for the County of London is composed of the following eighteen gentlemen:—Mr. Edmund Barnes, Mr. Henry Burt, Sir William J. Collins, M.D., Sir Edwin Cornwall, M.P., Mr. Frank Debenham, Mr. W. H. Dickinson, M.P., The Lord Farquhar, G.C.V.O., Mr. H. Gosling, L.C.C., Mr. H. P. Harris, M.P., Sir John Knill, Bart., Mr. George A. Macmillan. Sir Horace Brookes Marshall, Mr. J. B. Meers, C.B., Sir John S. Purcell, K.C.B., Mr. R. A.
