§ Sir DAVID BRYNMOR JONESasked the President of the Board of Education whether it is the usual practice of the Board of Education to nominate for the purpose of the Elementary School Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1898, and rules the medical officers employed by the Post Office; and, if so, on what ground is this practice adopted?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANYes. The medical officers employed by the Post Office are selected with a view to work of a character similar to that which is required of doctors nominated for the purpose of the Elementary School Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1898. They are also conveniently distributed over the country. For these reasons it has been the usual practice of the Board, with the concurrence of the Post Office, to nominate them for the duties in question.
