HC Deb 26 April 1911 vol 24 cc1937-8W
Mr. HUNT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether officers who entered the Special Reserve under the old regulations for twelve months with the intention of ging into the Regular Army will only be allowed under the new regulations to serve for six months?

Colonel SEELY

Yes, Sir. Infantry officers who are candidates for commissions in the Regular Army are not allowed to be attached to a Regular unit for more than six months, even though they commenced the attachment at the time when the regulations demanded a year of such service.
