HC Deb 07 April 1911 vol 23 c2671W
Mr. J. P. FARRELL

asked the Postmaster-General what progress, if any, has been made with the negotiations to introduce the telephone system from Mullingar to Longford, and when a definite decision on the question may be expected?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

The position remains unchanged, as I am still awaiting the decision of the Treasury on the general question of extensions of the trunk telephone system in Ireland. I understand, however, that that decision will not long be delayed.
