Captain PEELasked the President of the Local Government Board whether he has received a petition signed by 265 of the inhabitants of Alderton, Bawdsey, and Ramsholt, protesting against their parishes being transferred from Woodbridgo to Felixstowe for registration purposes; and whether, in view of the inconvenience caused to them by this proposed new arrangement, he will accede to their request that they may be retransferred to Wood-bridge?
§ Mr. BURNSA petition as indicated in the question was received on 29th March, and representations have also been made by the Woodbridge Urban District Council, and have been communicated to the Registrar-General. The proposed transfer has not yet been effected, and the subject will be further considered in view of the representations received.
