asked the hon. Member for Southampton, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he can state when the pillars at the west end of Birdcage Walk and the south-west entrance of the Mall will be fitted with the stone urns or the lamps for which they appear to be intended?

The lamps are in course of construction and will be fitted as soon as they are ready—probably by the 15th June—if not earlier.
