HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 cc2151-2W
Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of the fact that the whole grant for Ireland has been distributed, he will press the Treasury to arrange an immediate grant adequate to enable further relief in Dublin city?

Mr. BIRRELL

There are no funds at present at the disposal of the Treasury from which a further grant to the Distress Committee could be made; and unless Parliament allocates a sum in this year's Votes towards the expenses of distress committees no further applications can presumably be entertained.
