§ Mr. NANNETTIasked the Secretary to the Treasury what is the amount of the annual allowance given to civil servants of the rank of second division clerks in the event of such clerks being sent for permanent service from the headquarters to which they were originally assigned to sub-offices situate in provincial towns, when this removal is in no sense voluntary and involves no promotion?
