HC Deb 21 May 1910 vol 116 c400W
Sir E. HUME-WILLIAMS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been called to the fact that an issue of premium bonds has recently been made in France under Government sanction and has proved a great success, producing large sums of money and being eagerly bought by the industrial classes; and whether, under the present financial conditions existing in this country, he will reconsider the decision of his predecessor not to make such an issue here?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I cannot add anything to the answer given to the hon. Member for South Hackney on the 19th February.
