HC Deb 21 May 1910 vol 116 cc408-9W
Colonel GRETTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Munitions if the gun factory at Burton- On-Trent is completed; if it is to be used and worked as a Government factory or, in the alternative, what is intended to be done with this factory?

Mr. KELLAWAY

The machine gun factory at Burton is not quite complete, but. the constructional and installation work will, it is anticipated, be finished by the end of June. The factory will be held as a reserve unit of production, and in order to avoid the expense of erecting new buildings, it will be used for storage of machine guns.
