§ Colonel RAWSONasked the President of the Local Government Board whether, having regard to Section 3 of the Public Health Amendment Act, 1907, the Local Government Board will introduce legislation to repeal Section 19 of the said Act on the ground that it is not generally applicable to the circumstances of a rural district, or whether the Board has taken or will take any steps to amend the said Section so as to make it applicable to the circumstances of a rural district?
§ Mr. BURNS:It is not to be inferred from Section 3 of the Public Health Acts. Amendment Act, 1907, that every Section of that Act is to be regarded as applicable to the circumstances of a rural district, and at the present time I do not see any adequate reason for proposing legislation to amend Section 19 of the Act, as suggested.
