Captain FABERasked the Secretary of State for War whether, seeing that Captain F. Phillips was deputed by station order, Netley, dated 3rd January, 1901, to do the duty of assistant-adjutant-general, Netley, he was entitled upon retirement to a pension on the higher scale for having been called upon to exercise the duties of command?
§ Mr. HALDANEHonorary Major Phillips, late Quartermaster, Royal Engineers, is in receipt of the highest rate of retired pay provided by the regulations for Quartermasters. The nature of his duty at Netley gives him no claim to an increase of his retired pay, but in recognition of his service he was granted the honorary rank of Major.
