§ Mr. HACKETTasked the Chief Secretary whether the Estates Commissioners are negotiating at present with Miss Griffith to acquire the untenanted farm situated at Rathnavague, Dunkerin, Roscrea, county Tipperary, for distribution; and, if the lands are acquired by the Estates Commissioners, whether preference will be given to the applications of the representatives of the tenants who were evicted from the aforesaid lands?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners are in negotiation with the owner for the purchase of a portion of these lands. If they are acquired by the Commissioners the claims of the evicted tenants will receive full consideration.
