HC Deb 28 April 1910 vol 17 cc778-80W
Mr. CLOUGH

asked the hon. Member for the Stroud Division, as representing the Charity Commissioners, if he will state upon what date did the trustees of the Waddington Hospital Charity last elect any pensioners, how many, and of which class, indoor or outdoor; whether there are at present any vacancies amongst the pensioners in connection with this charity; and, if so, how many, when did they occur, and to which class do they belong; when the trustees propose to hold their next meeting to elect new pensioners to the benefits of this charity; and whether at that meeting they will elect both indoor and outdoor pensioners.

Mr. CHARLES P. ALLEN

Tie Commissioners are informed by the clerk to the trustees that an inmate of the almshouses was last elected on 18th March, 1910, and an out-pensioner on 13th September, 1907. There are at the present time two vacancies among the inmates, one of which occurred on 31st October last and the other on the 18th instant. As to out-pensioners, I must refer the hon. Member to the answer given to him on 9th November, 1908. There are twenty-five out-pensioners, and the income will not allow of any increase in the number at present. The trustees will meet on 13th June next for the election of almswomen.
