§ Mr. COWANasked the Lord Advocate whether he has received a resolution passed at a meeting of parents and ratepayers of Collieston, Aberdeenshire, protesting against the action of the school board in asking the Education Department to sanction a scheme whereby the ex-pupil teachers and scholars at present in Collieston school will be drafted to the Slains public school; and what action he proposes to take in the matter?
§ Mr. UREA resolution to the effect stated was received by the Department on 17th January, 1910, but after full consideration of all the circumstances the Department did not see their way to interfere with the discretion of the board in a matter which is within their province. The protesters were informed accordingly on 18th March, 1910.
