asked the Secretary to the Treasury what, during the last five years, were the total receipts in respect of capital and of revenue from all sources in Scotland and in Ireland, respectively, of the Commissioners of His Majesty's Woods, Forests, and Land Revenues; what, during the same period, was the total expenditure in respect of capital and in respect of revenue in each country, respectively; and what was the nature of the investment of capital in each country?

The investments in Scotland consisted of the purchase of the Inverliever estate, Argyllshire, and the redemption of Land Tax and Fixed Charges on that estate. The investments in Ireland consisted of the purchase of the Inchicore estate and land called Long Meadows and premises known as Ash View, in the county of Dublin, and a house known as Lumville, Curragh of Kildare.
