HC Deb 12 April 1910 vol 16 c1199W
Mr. MacVEAGH

asked the Chief Secretary if the pensions of policemen who are appointed to clerkships of petty sessions are counted as part of their salaries as clerks; and, if not, whether on retiring from the clerkships they would be entitled to second pensions?

Mr. BIRRELL

The pensions of policemen who are appointed to petty sessions clerkships are not counted as part of their salaries. On retirement they receive pension from the Petty Sessions Clerks' Fund, if qualified, in addition to their pensions from the police.
