HC Deb 12 April 1910 vol 16 c1210W
Sir JOHN ROLLESTON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he will consider the advisability of recommending the Indian Government to impose countervailing or Excise duties on all manufactures exported from this country with which the products of India compete, the same as on cotton goods?

Mr. MONTAGU

The Secretary of State sees no reason to make the recommendation suggested to the Government of India.
