§ Mr. BURNSFor the year 1908–9 the amount paid to the councils of counties and county boroughs up to 31st March was £746,253. A further balance of £61,007 was distributed in September and October, 1909. For the past financial year the sum distributable up to 31st March was £525,619. I am not in a position to give any further information as to the amount to be paid at present.
