HC Deb 04 April 1910 vol 16 c176W
Mr. CHARLES CRAIG

asked the Chief Secretary to what purposes are the buildings, land, and equipment of the Royal University in Dublin to be applied; and what resolution has been come to on the subject by the commissioners or senate of the University?

Mr. BIRRELL

The buildings and equipment of the Royal University of Ireland are now vested in the National University of Ireland, and are used for carrying on the work of the university. I understand that the senate has granted the temporary use of portion of the buildings to the governing body of University College, Dublin, pending the making of any scheme by the Dublin Commissioners for the partition of the buildings in, pursuance of Section 14 of the Irish Universities Act.
