HC Deb 04 April 1910 vol 16 c182W
Mr. DANIEL BOYLE

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he would recommend to the Congested Districts Board to facilitate the fishermen of the North Mayo coast in disposing of their fish, by providing for biweekly sailing of the steamer "Tartar," controlled by the Board, between Sligo and Belmullet, so as to secure market for the catches of fish taken by the fishermen of the district?

Mr. BIRRELL

The steamer service in question is subsidised by the Board of Works, not by the Congested Districts Board. I understand that under an arangement made last year there will be sailings twice week from 1st May to 30th September next.
