§ Baroness Scotland of AsthalMy noble friend Lady Pitkeathley has been appointed by the Home Secretary as Chair of the Independent Advisory Board for Futurebuilders, a non-departmental public body (NDPB) that will advise Ministers on the continuing objectives, priorities and governance; and on the implementation and effectiveness of the Futurebuilders investment fund.
The appointment was made on 22 December 2004 and will run until April 2007 in the first instance.
Baroness Pitkeathley is currently the chair of the Children and Families Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS). She has previously served as chair of two other NDPBs, the New Opportunities Fund (NOF) and the General Social Care Council (GSCC).
