§ The Minister for Energy and Construction (Mr. Brian Wilson)I have today decided to grant consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to GREP UK Marine Ltd to build a 129 MW wind farm approximately 8.5 km north of Herne Bay, Kent.
The wind farm will produce enough electricity to power up to 100,000 homes and make a vital contribution to the Government's target to generate 10 per cent. of the UK's electricity from renewable sources by 2010.
