For each of the past 10 years, what have been the total public funds (at 2004 prices) available to English Heritage; and what funds they plan to make available in each of the next three years. [HL532]

The grant-in-aid funding paid by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to English Heritage over the past 10 years and planned grant-inaid funding for the next three years, in 2004 prices, is as follows:

distributed £5.2 million, in 2003–04 it distributed £3.8 million and in 2004–05 it is distributing £4.0 million. In 2004–05 the Office for the Deputy Prime Minister has also provided 100,000 towards the cost of a project led by English Heritage to support local authority capacity building.
