§ Lord WarnerMethicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other healthcare associated infections are prevented and contained by good infection control. Implementation ofWinning Ways—Working together to reduce Healthcare Associated Infection in England and Towards Cleaner Hospitals and Lower Rates of Infection will improve clinical practice and reduce infection rates. In addition, we have a new target to reduce MRSA infections.
We have no plans to award compensation to patients with MRSA in National Health Service trusts.
