§ Lord Sainsbury of TurvilleThe MRC currently has one formal collaborative arrangement with an agrochemical company. This is between DuPont Crop Protection and a team at the MRC Functional Genetics Unit in Oxford. The purpose of this collaboration is to use the nematode worm (C.elegans) as a model system for identifying and validating the target genes of new insecticide lead compounds.
