§ Caroline FlintThe current requirement established by the Association of Chief Police Officers and monitored by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary, (HMIC), stipulates that the following348W timeliness performance indicators are required to be met by the Police for entry onto the Police National Computer:
Arrest and Charge
- 1. Initial key details of arrestee and charge—90 per cent. within 24 hours of arrest.
- 2. Full entry—90 per cent. within five days
- 3. Once compliance with 1 and 2 is obtained then a staged improvement to 90 per cent. within 24 hours for full entry.
Bail
- 1. Police bail 100 per cent. within 24 hours Court Case Results—Police Entered.
- 2. 100 per cent. entered within 72 hours of the result from the court coming into Police possession.
- Court Case Results—Court Entered 1.
- 100 per cent. within 24 hours.
