Mr. Gareth ThomasTimber procurement policy on timber is the responsibility of the Department of Food, Rural Affairs and the Environment. Defra has replied to the question about the funding of the Central Point of Expertise on Timber (CPET) indicating that it is in discussion with a number of Departments, including DFID. No decision has yet been taken about the funding of the second phase of CPET.
