§ Hilary BennThe Department for International Development has supported the European Union's establishment of a Peace Facility for Africa. DFID is engaged in discussions in the Council leading up to the approval of the Facility. DFID's support is in line with the G8-Africa Joint Action Plan and the Prime Minister's commitment to African peacekeeping.
