The regulation of Premium Rate Services is a matter for the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information

Services (ICSTIS). Their Code of practice sets out the requirement for companies to provide clear pricing information and specifically prohibits the use of misleading pricing information.

Mr. Timms

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has had no recent representations on this matter. Misleading information about such services is a matter for the Premium Rate Services regulator, the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services (ICSTIS).
