To ask the Secretary of State of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress his 1449W Department has made to manage the changeover from the Bank Automated Clearing System to the new BACSTEL-IP system for electronic payments. [164315]

§ Mr. Rammell
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has already installed BACSTEL-IP. The system has been tested and is planned to be in use from April 2004.
