§ Jacqui SmithThe Government continually looks for ways to improve the regulatory regime, and we will be establishing a new chemical industry forum to discuss options for better regulation, as announced by the Chancellor in last week's budget. Appropriate regulation of the chemical industry is, of course, necessary to ensure proper protection of human health and the environment.
