§ Mr. HuttonDepartmental policy is to provide staff and patients in the national health service with wholesome potable water as required by the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 1989. Most of the water supplied in the NHS is from mains supply. It is the responsibility of the relevant water company to deliver water of drinkable quality to the NHS site. NHS trusts are responsible for maintaining water quality within their buildings.
