To ask the hon. Member for Middlesbrough, representing the Church Commissioners what plans the Commissioners have for the future of St. Giles's Church, Imber. [161304]

The Commissioners had a helpful meeting on 19 January about the future of this church with Ministers from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Ministry of Defence. In particular the possibility of an endowment to facilitate the vesting of the church in the Churches Conservation Trust was discussed. There will be further discussions between the Ministers and the Commissioners are waiting to hear the outcome.
