To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what guidelines he issues regarding the positioning of speed cameras, with particular reference to mobile speed cameras. [156502]

The 'Handbook of rules and guidance for the operation of the national road safety camera programme for England and Wales', deals with the positioning of fixed and mobile speed cameras. Copies were placed in the Libraries of the House on 5 December 2003.
